To begin working on the suite I took some time to play around with some
presets in Alchemy and RetroSyn, editing them to create new synths that
would work for my project. I was looking for textures, pulses, melodies, chords
and basses. Thats why, after having my instruments ready, I created a
summing stack for each one of these groups. In the Melody group I also
added EWHB 6FH SUS with different audio effects.

For the first material (Elliot as a hacker) I didnt use melody at all, I only utilized
a pulse and textures. For the second one (Elliot unstable psychology), I created
a melody. Here the pulse disappears. For the third idea (E-corp) I used a
descending chromatic melody and again the pulse. The bass and the textures

glue the whole thing together. All the themes are illustrated with markers in
the suite session.

After having the suite ready I started to work on the clip. I chose the episode
2.3, the scene when Elliot is hacking. For this I reorganized some of the
materials I had, in order to make them work better with the picture. The main
body of the music comes from the first idea, (pulse and textures). However, I
also used the other themes. In two specific moments the theme referring to
Elliots psychology can be heard and the E-Corp theme appears just before
Elliot mention them. This theme also helps to raise the tension of the scenes
ending.
One of the most challenging things for this assignment was creating Stems. I
didnt use the template because I really wanted to understand it and follow
the signal flow. So, I put a reverb for each summing stack, then, instead of
routing it to the output, I did it to a new bus. Bus 20, 21, 22,23,24 for each
summing stack, and also I used these same busses as inputs for the audio
tracks where the Stems were recorded. These audio tracks have no output,
because we only want to save the stems in the computer. The files can be
found in the [Media-> Audio Files] folder, after clicking show package
content (because I saved the project as a package). As an example of this, the
following is the path that the Textures instruments (bus 1) did.
