MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

BMFS 2613 SEMESTER 1 SESSION 2017/2018

Students should select their topics based on their exposure on knowledge, constructive thinking and
logical and sensible justification, parallel with the theories learned from the class.

Focus: The focus of this group work is the understanding of manufacturing processes

Guideline for students:

1. Each group should consist of 5-6 members.

2. Students are required to produce engineering product using at least combination of THREE (3)
manufacturing processes available in the workshop.

3. Before the actual product fabrication, each group should prepare the proposal and the structure of
the proposal must include following items:
- title of product
- drawing of product
- bill of material (BOM)
- production cost
- manufacturing processes

4. The marks for the final product will be given based on complexity and quality of the product.

5. Final report should be done by using video format.

Due Date: 1 December 2017 (Week 12) before 5 pm. Please submit the proposal, product and
infographics to your respective lecturer.
