SUBJECT: ITEMS TO NOTE WHEN ATTACHING PAPER DECK-A1

Notification is made here of items to note when attaching the Paper Deck-A1, an accessory to the NP6260.
Details
The Paper Deck-A1 is an accessory that can be attached to the NP6350/NP6250/NP6251 or NP6260 by
switching the DIP switch (switching of pick-up/feeding speed).
Initially, the manual containing the description of the procedure to attach the Paper Deck-A1 to the
NP6350/NP6250/NP6251 was included in the Paper Deck-A1 package. After that, accompanying the
marketing of the NP6260, a revised manual was included with the Paper Deck-A1. However, in some units,
the old attachment procedure manual was inadvertently included with the unit.
If the old attachment procedure manual was included, use the following procedure to switch the DIP switch
to attach the Paper Deck-A1 to the NP6260.
If switching of the DIP switch is not performed, paper jams occur when papers are continuously fed from the
paper deck.
[Switching procedure]
1) Check that the power cord of the copier main unit has been unplugged.
2) Remove the rear cover of the paper deck (6 screws).
3) Set both bits of the DIP switch on the deck driver PCB to OFF.
4) Attach the rear cover of the paper deck (6 screws).
