Resident Profile
News
Phil & Jan Spiesman W e came to Sun City Festival in 2007, built a home on the 6th
tee box and lived the life of the Snow-Birds, returning to
our home each spring and summer in the Vancouver, WA area.
Phil took 10 years to convince Jan that living in Festival full time
was a great idea, but at last, this past spring, we sold our home
on #6 and bought a home on the green of #8. We love the people
and lifestyle that Festival creates for us.
Phil is an avid golfer and rules official. Despite his three back fu-
sions, he continues to love the game and has become the rules
guru here and at home in WA. He volunteers for tournaments in
this capacity.
Jan co-owns, A & J Educational & Professional Consulting LLC and
trains school districts across the US in classroom management.
Both of us believe strongly in contribution and helping to making
a difference.
Our full time move to Festival is an adventure we both have fully
embraced with a new sense of simplicity for life. We are excited
to unpack and be under one roof in our new home, not splitting
our time.
Phil and Jan met in 2003 and were married. They have 4 children
combined, 3 in the Vancouver/Portland area and 1 in Pennsylva-
nia, with 5 grandchildren. We plan frequent trips to spend time
with them and to travel more.
