IV. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

Rigger Level 1: 2012

* Competent in reading and understanding crane load charts, specification and drawings. * Complies
with the highest level of all relevant safety standards, rules and regulations prior to any rigging/lifting
activities. * Estimate and calculate load weight against crane capacity suitable for a safe crane lift. *
Inspect the ground and overhead conditions for any hazards and evaluate conditions to comply the HSE
requirements and the safety of the whole rigging/lifting team. * Independent ability to prepare and
review rigging plan/lift plan and submit to client for approval. * Responsible for inspecting, selecting,
and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, shackles, and sheaves according to weight and
size of load to be moved and providing direction to the crane operator and rigging crew.

Rigger Level 2: 2011 to 2012

* Site supervision and overall responsibility for the lift. * Supervise and work involving the crane.

* Determine the correct load weight and raduis and inform the operator. * Ensure that the Rigging crew
is experienced and capable of establishing weights; judging distance, heights and clearances;
selecting tackles and lifting gear suitable to the loads; rigging the loads safely & securely. * Supervise
the rigging crew. * Ensure that the load is properly rigged. * Ensure that the signal man are capable of
directing the crane and load, including the use of the international hand signals where other forms of
communications are not possible.
