Subject: Personal Brand Narrative
Date: September 27, 2017

As you have instructed, this report will provide detailed summary of my self-image through my
own perception and the publics perception. This report will benefit you in that it will provide
information about my own strengths and weaknesses as a professional and a student. By
addressing these distinctions from my own self-image to the public perceptions, it will enable me
to become a more effective leader and team member. This report will include the personal results
from CareerLeader, the results from the Leadership Communication Evaluation, and finally how
I intend to initiate change moving forward.

CareerLeader Results
According to the Culture Match section in the CareerLeader results, it states that I score the
highest in Collaboration and Consideration; middle in Innovation and Change and Precision
and Planning; and very low in Extraversion and Decisiveness. These results met some of my
expectations as well as bring a few surprises. For instance, I personally am not the best when it
comes to decision-making or being overt when in a group setting. I believe that all options
should be thought through thoroughly before the final decision is made. While this may be
perceived as indecisive from time to time, it does show care and thoroughness in the steps you
plan to take moving forward. However, when a decision needs to be made instantly, I typically
let someone else take charge and go along with it afterwards. The most surprising were the
results showing I am very collaborative and considerate. In most cases I tend to choose the more
independent route as oppose to group work. However, I will admit I try to be open with people
emotionally to not only make them feel comfortable, but enable a more collaborative work
environment.

Leadership Communication Evaluation

Initially I would most identify myself as an analytic as opposed to the other people-style traits
(expressive, amiable, driver). As mentioned before, I tend to work independently or allow
another to take charge while I focus on the work resulted from their decisions. This type of
quality fits well with an analytic as they are more data and research driven than emotionally or
expressively. As a result, I dont openly voice out my thoughts to a group too much, but listen to
everyone elses input. In addition to being thorough in research before a large decision, I also
like planning out tasks and exploring new information.

However, the results from my peers spoke much differently to my own perception. In fact, their
responses aligned similarly to the CareerLeader result in that I am perceived as being more
expressive and collaborative in a professional setting. For instance, one states, I have a high
attention to making sure people feel at ease and are working together properly. The glue of the
team to say it a different way. Her values are apparent in the way she participates in group
functions. This comes as a huge surprise from my independent nature, but shows a positive
brand for others.

Moving Forward
After reviewing the results, I find that there are many aspects to my own personal brand that I
have yet to enable. While I tend to refer to myself as more research-driven and independent,
others see a much more collaborative and positive side to myself that I myself havent realized.
And while taking a more active role as a leader is important, being connected to your teams
shows great dynamic and inclusivity. I hope as I continue my academic career through Eller, I
will continue my strong work ethic and leave a positive impact on my peers, but also learn to
take more initiative moving forward.

Conclusion
This report provided the details of my CareerLeader results, the Leadership Communication
Evaluation, and finally how I intend to initiate change moving forward. This will benefit you in
providing a better understanding of me and my future goals moving forward as a leader and
student. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at
