Overview of UMASH Website Satisfaction Survey

29 people responded. This number indicates that 3 more people took this survey from the last
update on April 12, 2017. All 29 of the respondents answered every single of the 5 questions
pertaining to the website and the 3 questions regarding age, gender, and occupation.

51.72% (15) of the respondents are within the 35-54 age range.
67.86% (19) of the respondents are female.
31.03% (9) of the respondents fit into the Education occupation category.

82.75% of respondents are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the UMASH website.
31.03% of the respondents answered that they visit the website occasionally (4-6 times a year).

Of the 29 respondents, the following numbers represent that they are very satisfied with the
following features:

Ease of Finding Information (41.38%)
Visually Pleasing (72.41%)
Speed and Performance (72.41%)
Performance of the Search Function (55.17%)

In terms of suggestions for improving our website, 68.97% (20) of the respondents did not have
any suggestions as they were satisfied with our website. 31.03% (9) of the respondents had
comments and/or suggestions regarding our website AND UMASH as a whole. Although some
of the following comments and/or suggestions do not relate to the satisfaction of our website
specifically, it is important to take all of the feedback and strive to become better.

Update the information on progress of projects


Add more content directly applicable to commercial scale farming. Content appears to
be targeted to small family farms with no hired employees.
You send announcements of national this or that safety week and the week is over or at
hand and we cant pass on the message as it is over
Add additional resources and links to Extension in your region.
I work with pesticide education I would like to encourage you to team with other U of
MN staff that work in that field as well. There is a fair amount of crossover work we
could be doing
Maybe access to more farm safety material

Better integration between rural and urban agriculture and issues like farmers markets
with small farm plots by immigrant farmers and transportation and marketing of products
and public markets in the urban areas.
Homepage has too much going on, too many various rows and buttons, would like this
to be streamlined and simplified

When prompted to take the survey, these are the reasons respondents visited our website on that
specific day:

27% (8) of the respondents visited for information/seeking farm safety resources
31% (9) of the respondents visited only to take they survey they saw advertised an in an
email or social media
42% (12) of the respondents visited for other miscellaneous reasons such as seeking
updates on projects, reading an article, interest, and viewing the latest stuff.
