For owners (clients) with special needs and priorities, concrete is an attractive
construction material because of its:
1. High stiffness for minimizing perceived vibrations (i.e. Huntsman Cancer,
Biology Building, etc.).
2. Fire resistance for applications where greater fire rating is required.
3. Durability and relatively low maintenance.
