You Can Design the proposed Project (Digital Lock) or you can proposed your own project as per the
criteria given below.

If you are proposing your own project then it should be approved by Sir Umar Shahbaz or Lab Engineer
Adnan Shujah before start working on it otherwise we will consider that you are working on digital
lock.

1-Digital Lock
1-Digital lock activates the lock on a 3 digit pass code.

2-If the user enters the correct password, a green led will glow (indication of the correct password)
and solenoid will be activated (indicating that lock is opened)

3-If the person enters a wrong password, a red led will glow (indication of wrong code)

4-If user enters a wrong password 03 consecutive times the buzzer/alarm will be on. (As indication of
intrusion)

5-Display the entered digits on SSD

2- Proposing your own Project

Following points should be considered before making of proposal.

Your project must have following circuits

1-One combinational logic circuit (Encoder, Decoder, MUX or De-MUX)

2-Memory (Flip-Flops, Laches or Shift Registers)

3-Counters

4-One analog electronic circuit component to be interfaced with your circuit.

Instructions:
1-Project will be in groups as assigned in the lab.

2-You have to submit the circuit hardware, project report (calculations, circuit design, simulation,
references etc. ) otherwise group will get zero for that part.

3-On the day of the project you have to give individual viva and you will be marked accordingly.

4-Project submission will be in respective lab .final date of submission will be announced later on in
lab.
