from the start the percentage of males and females that filled out the survey you can see from the results that 60% of the participants were male and 40%were female. This shows that the results that we gathered are more male based, we have the opinions of more males than females. Due to the fact that we were making a documentary revolving around the topic of youth we asked this question in order to find out the range of ages of the people that completed our survey. After observing the results we can gather that the majority 53.33% of participants were aged 17. The lowest age percentage was 16 at 13.33%. So our documentary is aimed mainly at 17 year olds. For the third question on our survey we asked this simple question in order to see if our documentary theme would relate to Britain's youth, we wanted to find out what percentage of the people that completed the survey did actually take part in sport. From this we found out that 90% of the participants take part in sport. This means that wed have a high view rate for our documentary as the theme appeals to the majority of people. We decided to ask this question because it gives us an idea of some of the sports that may include the body image stereotypes. It also shows us what type of sports to look further into and research for our production. In order so that the viewers show more interest in the documentary. We can see from the results that the majority of the people that answered the survey played rugby which then lead us to interview Adam who is one of the rugby coaches at The Henley College. We asked this question so that we could think about where to shoot the documentary, for example if we shot it in a sports club this would relate to the majority of the people who answered the survey as 43.33% of the participants go to a sports club regularly. We can also gather from the results that a lot of people take part in sports within college/school which lead us to film within the college. Filming at the college also suits the theme of our documentary which is youth. Sport plays a big role in many peoples lives, from this we found out how many times the participants take part in sport. We found out that the large majority of the people who completed the survey (43.33) take part in sport 5-7 days a week. This shows that the viewers can relate to the documentary as sport is important to them. We found out from this question that on average 83 was were the majority of people ranked how much they enjoy sport which shows that the topic of sport appeals to a large number of people which means that our theme appeals to youth. We worked out by looking at the results that 60% of the people who answered the questions dont see themselves doing sport professionally in the future we can see that 40% of the participants want to pursue a sporting career. This shows that a minimal amount of people will learn from our production where as the rest will watch it for entertainment purposes. For this question we decided to find out if the participants felt pressured into having the ideal body image. 43.33% said yes which means that the theme of our documentary relates to the majority of the survey population. We included a sometimes answer so that we can see that a lot of the time most people feel pressured to having the right body for sport. We wanted to see if people 16-18+ put themselves into the situations where they have to diet in order to achieve the ideal body image. For example one response was High protein and carbohydrates, on days I do exercise I eat higher carbohydrates. It shows us that the youth around Britain diet themselves in order to get the body that they have been told is the right body to have.
