The smallest administrative division in the Philippines, called the barangay, refers to
an inner city neighbourhood, a suburb or a suburban neighborhood. Being one of the most
functional branches in the political system, the barangay plays a vital role in the society
and amongst its people. It is also the one who reinforces societys social norms, structure,
and development; as well as providing clear cut political divisions and areas of jurisdiction

A. LOCATION
Cararayan, in the East by Barangay Del Rosario, in the South by Municipality of Milaor and

The total land area of Barangay Concepcion Grande is 3.0637 square kilometer or 3.95%

The soil type of this Barangay is Pili Clay Loam. The Residential area is 1.5538 square
kilometer or 50.72%, the Institutional land area is 0.3342 or 10.91%, the Commercial
Land is 0.4318 square kilometer or 14.09% and the remaining 0.7438 or 24.28 % is
Agricultural land.
D. MEANS OF ACCESS
The Barangay is convenient to all kinds of vehicles like Tricycle, Pedicab and Public utility
jeepney.
SOCIO-DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
A. POPULATION
NOTE: the figures with * are taken from the National Statistics Office while the rest of the
populations are projections base from the given figures from NSO.
B. HOUSEHOLD
The total number of household in 1998 is 1206 an average of 7 persons per households.
The Community Multi-Sectoral Assembly that was conducted last September 1998 shows
that the out of 1,432 total number of household 300 or 21% are two storey or multi
storey, 432 or 30% are split level and the remaining 700 or 49% are sin gle storey.
Moreover in building resistance 158 or 11% are in High Risk with light materials, 295 or
21% are in Medium Risk with Semi -concrete building with G.I. Roofing, 400 or 28% are in
Low Risk with Concrete frame with G.I. Roof and Walls and the re maining 579 or 40% are
No Risk.

The means of livelihood in the barangay are small and large entrepreneur, Bankers,
Security Guards, Baker, Barber, Merchandiser, Contractor, Dealer, Business Agent and
Manufacturing Drinks and other variety of foods.
C. COMMERCIAL
Boarding House, Book Centers, Computer Centers, Driving School, Dress Shops,

received is P75.00 and the maximum annual tax due that the City received
