1. Educational aim
- To consolidate/revise and practice the use of conjunctions.
- To help SS drill the methods of doing different kinds of exercises.
2. Knowledge and skills:
* General language knowledge: Grammar of Unit 9
- Grammatical structures/items:
+ Conjunction: So, but, however, therefore.
* Skills:
- Integrated language skills:
+ Writing: transformation/rewriting
- Practice skills: improve skills of doing different types of exercises.
II. Preparation:
- Teacher: lesson plan, handouts of the practice exercises.
- Ss: revise old lessons at home.
III. Anticipated problems
- Ss may have troubles distinguishing the use of but & however so T should tell SS the
difference between them.
