Dear Eller College Admissions Committee:

I am pleased to apply for Eller College of Managements Accounting Program. As a detail-
oriented student I have a passion for accounting and look forward to the challenges that the
Accounting Program has to offer. As an Eller student I will have the opportunity to gain
information and experiences that will prepare me to succeed in non-profit accounting.

I am interested in working in the accounting department of a non-profit organization and
majoring in accounting will help me achieve this goal. Because of my interest in non-profits, I
started volunteering my freshman year for a non-profit organization called Young Life. I help
plan bi-weekly events, make sure we stay on budget, and mentor high school students. This
experience has helped me to gain leadership experience, and taught me how to work with a
team towards a common goal. As a student in the Honors College I thrive in a rigorous
environment that has challenged my time management and problem solving skills. I believe
that these skills will help me succeed in the intensive environment of Eller.

As a student of the Eller College of Management I will bring my enthusiastic point of view to the
classes and groups that I am a part of. My experiences both on campus and off have prepared
me to join the esteemed ranks of Eller students. Being part of a college that holds integrity as
one of its core values will push me to become the woman I want to be. I look forward to the
challenging and rewarding experiences that I will gain as a student of the Eller College of
Management.
