MECHANICAL QA/QC INSPECTOR

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

Role and Responsibilities:

Mechanical QA/QC:
Review of Scope of work.

Review of SAUDI ARAMCO, SABIC and SAUDI COMPANY Engineering Standards.

Planning and reporting on the mechanical engineering Scope of work.

Review and Inspection of all Mechanical, Instrumentation Material prior to Installation.

Responsible for the over-all implementation of Quality Control related Mechanical &
instrumentation works accordance with project specifications and Engineering Standards.

Ensure that Non-Conformance Report (NCR) are raised once the activities deviated from
the Contract Specifications or normal construction industry practices.
 Reviewing of the Piping & Instrument diagrams (P&ID), (Mechanical Specification
Sheet (MSS), Mechanical Data Sheet (MDS), and Instrument Installation Sheet (IIS).

Balance of plant mechanical start-up engineer: ABB HRSG's, Feed water, Condensate,
Natural Gas, Closed Cooling Water systems
Supervised mechanical craft personnel
ABB HRSG chemical cleaning
Steam Blow
System walk-downs to identify mechanical punch-list items
Involved in root cause analysis (RCA) for the rotating equipment and solutions to the
equipment reliability problems.
Follow up with the contractors to ensure completion of work within the time frame and
according to project schedule.

Discuss with client for all sort of modifications at site.

Redline all drawings according to site modifications.

Follow up for client approval on all check records after completion of inspections.

Involve in technical review of Instrument drawings, process hook-ups,

Coordinating with Vendors/Contractors to resolve quality and construction issues.

Inspect all kind of Mechanical material as it arrives in the warehouse according to the
project specification.

Verify all stanchion locations at site with client prior to installation.

Check for all permit requirement for areas handed over to commissioning.

Preparing daily documentation of the work progress.

Coordinating with the Operations and Safety department to solve the problems during
construction and Loop checking.

Testing of all Instruments and making a note for Defective once.

 Calibration of all the instruments to be installed.

Following all the safety standards while working on heights and confined space.

Preparing daily progress report.

Involved to ensure that all installations are carried as per the drawings and specifications.

Follow up for the clearance of loop checks.

Coordinating with the civil survey crew for the survey of pipeline and the well pad area.

Attending the Weekly meeting held by Client.

Preparing the minutes of meeting.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

Responsible for the planning and execution of major overhauls on Turbines,

Compressors, Pumps and other plant rotating equipment.
Involved in root cause analysis (RCA) for the rotating equipment and solutions to
the equipment reliability problems.
Now undergone Erection and commissioning of Electrothrem make 25MT
inductionfurnace, ComcastMake6/11radius CCM Project and 110/11KV Single
Line Substation and WMI make 60/15ton, Progressive Make 15ton, 10ton EOT
Cranes.
Erection and commissioningof Hydraulic Bundling Press, RO Plant, Jaw crusher,
Slag crusher Magnetic Separator, Cooling Towers, PumpHouseand Hydraulic tank,
Furnace preheater Tank Pump and Motors. Erection and commissioning of
Pollution equipment(scrubber)
Attending daily Mechanical meeting and submitting the daily progress report to
Rotating Equipment Manager and Interfaces with other disciplines and third
parties.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program set up and execution
 Inspecting various parameters such as Vibration, Bearing temperature, Sound, RPM,
and Alignment Checks.
Enforcing to follow HSE procedures, Daily Tool Box talk, Task Site.
Thorough knowledge on API codes related to rotary machines.
Carries out fabrication of pipe support, shoes, hangers, bracket and other
supportive fixtures.
Monitors and control material handling activities of all fabricated spool.
Supervises punch listing and line checking and evaluates all piping system prior to
hydro testing.
Conduct line checking prior for quality assurance, monitoring supervision of field
activities.
Implementation of project specification
Coordinates and continues monitoring of construction activities with the contractor
to ensure the adherence to master construction schedule, site procedures and
project specifications
Supervise line checking, punch listing in accordance with the line schedule, project
specifications and other international standard institution.
Coordinates with clients and other discipline engineers. Vendors in interface
activities.
Coordinates internally to ensure correct communication exist/ maintained. Attend
site meeting between tech and other contractors.
Supervised for the implementation contractors with regards to quality and safety in
their specific jobs.
