On 06/13/2012 at approximately 2323 hours Officers M. Ramirez #2518 and J. Rosales #2879 working as 3F231
were dispatched 200 W. San Antonio in reference to a Missing Person. Upon arrival Officers met with RP-01
who stated that IO-01 had escaped from Peak Behavioral Health Services located in 5045 McNutt Road Santa
Teresa, NM. RP-01 advised Officers that IO-01 suffered from mental disorders and had plans to run from
Peak Behavioral Health Services to the listed address of occurrence and take a bus out of state. RP-01
advised that IO-01 was a danger to himself and others as he had already been caught sneaking fire arms onto
Hollaman Airforce base. RP-01 advised that IO-01 was attempting to carry out death threats that IO-01 had
made on his military chain of command. IO-01 was also facing military criminal charges. Officers put out
a spot broadcast via dispatch with the decription of IO-01 provided by RP-01. While Officers were at CRCC
to complete proper documentation and enter IO-01 into the system as a missing person endangered, Officers
were notified via dispatch that RP-01 had located IO-01 at 200 W. San Antonio. Upon arrival, Officers met
with RP-01 and IO-01. IO-01 did not resist or make any comments about harming himself or other to the
officers. Since Peak Behavioral Health Services is located in Santa Teresa, NM, Officers released IO-01 to
Sunland Park Police Officers who arrived at 200 W. San Antonio. Sgt. Shields and Sgt. Cardenas where
advised of the incident.
