1. sound the phoneme /m/ correctly.
2. listen and match 2 out of 4 phonemes with the pictures
correctly.
3. say out at least 3 out of 5 initial sound of phoneme /m/
accurately.
Teaching Aids: Picture cards, action song
Activities: Set Induction:
Teacher introduces the phoneme /m/ correctly while doing in
action.

Presentation and production stage:

Beginner:
1. Teacher tells pupils that you have an ice cream each. Teacher
asks pupils a few questions about their ice cream. For example:
Is your ice cream delicious?
2. Teacher demonstrates how to sound it out.
- When you say /m/, your lips are together and it sounds like
humming.
3. Teacher does the action of licking an ice cream and say
mmm..
4. Pupils try to write the letter in the air with their finger and
sound out the phoneme /m/.

Intermediate:
1. Teacher shows the picture cards with the initial sound of
phoneme /m/. For examples: mum, mug, mat, mouse, map and
mouth.
2. Pupils say out sound aloud in whole class.
 3. Teacher puts some picture cards in a box and passes around
the box to the pupils.
4. Teacher says out a word with initial sound of phoneme /m/.
5. Pupils are instructed to pick out the pictures card in the box
and show the correct pictures to the class.
6. Pupils say out the word correctly.

Advance
1. Teacher asks pupils to state words that they know which
begin with /m/.
2. Teacher pastes the picture cards on the board.
3. Teacher says out the words and pupils will be chosen
randomly to run to the front and touch the correct picture cards.
4. Pupils say out the words with initial sound of phoneme /m/
loudly.

Closure:
All the pupils sing the action song together with guidance.
