THIS AMENDMENT AND EXTENSION AGREEMENT is effective the Ist day of
January, 2017 (“Amendment”) between the CITY OF LANSING (“City”), and CHAD GAMBLE,
(“Employee”).
WHEREAS, the City and Employee entered into a written employment agreement
(‘Employment Agreement”), effective January 1, 2007, amended February 13, 2012 and extended
through December 31, 2016, and
WHEREAS, the Employee continues to serve the City, and
WHEREAS, the City and the Employee (collectively, the “Parties”) desire to formally
extend the Employee Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and mutual covenants herein
contained, the Parties agree as follows:
1, The automatic termination date set forth in paragraph 5 of the Employment Agreement is
amended and extended to December 31, 2017
2. As preempted by the Lansing City Charter Section 6-401, the provision in the Exeeutive
Management Plan Fringe Benefits summary entitled “Severance Pay” is hereby deleted
from the Employment Agreement,
3. The annualized salary set forth in paragraph 2 of the Employment Agreement shall be
One Hundted Twenty Six Thousand, One Hundred Forty Four Dollars and Eighty Cents
($126,144.80) with January 1, 2017 the effective date of this salary,
4, The Performance Objectives set forth in paragraph 7 continue unchanged, except that the
following additional objectives are included:
5. All other terms and conditions set forth in the Employment Agreement remain unchanged
and in full force and effect, subject to modification by the Mayor as provided in the
Employment Agreement.
