Interagency Transition Teams
An interagency transition team brings together a variety of stakeholders who are supporting youth with disabilities so they can have the best chances for
success as adults. The LI RSE-TASC Transition Team has established two strong, dynamic, ever-expanding and transformative teams in each county.
The Nassau County Interagency Transition Team (NCITT) and the Suffolk County Interagency Transition Team (SCITT). Both NCITT & SCITT share
the same vision and mission.
Vision: To get more students with disabilities employed, not to make them non-disabled. Mission: We utilize evidence-based practices to improve
positive post-school outcomes for the students we serve. NO SURRENDER! NO RETREAT!
Sharing evidenced-based practices in this venue, providing a forum for our regional leaders to explore and work with them in the context of their work
and then take them back to their individual districts and/or agencies, is the most efficient and effective way for us to build capacity in the region.
