Rebsetecnn) OF Bet tele) November 7, 2077 Dear Upper School Parents, We are sorry to be writing about a disturbing situation. Last week, we learned of hazing and inappropriate contact among boys in one of the bathrooms, often with the fights turned out. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of our students, and we commend the student leaders who sounded the alarm and the students who came forward to share their experiences. We recognize the possibility there are other students unknown to us, So we encourage you to have a conversation with your son, both to understand the impact of this on him and also to remind him of the importance of alerting adults when the situation is warranted. Please know you can come to us with information; you are also welcome to reach out to Mrs. Norden, our Director of Guidance, for any need that may arise. On our end, we have removed the three boys from our community and they are not allowed on campus. We are making adjustments to all bathrooms, inching making it impossible to turn off lights. We will expand our hallway and lunchtime supervision, Additionally, Mr. Berg will address students in tomorrow's assembly. itis disappointing when students act in ways that tear at the fabric of trust in our community, but we are resolved to move forward having learned important lessons: and with confidence that incidents like these won't be repeated.
