Professional Experience: Neighborhood reporter and photographer, Podcast Producer,
DNAInfo, NYC, 2015 - present Began as a breaking news reporter covering fires, shootings,
building collapses. Interviewed witnesses and families of victims in English and Spanish and
dialed up city agencies in an effort to piece together verifiable facts and documents as quickly as
possible. Transitioned to a position as a neighborhood beat reporter in Dec. of 2015 covering
Williamsburg, Bushwick and Greenpoint, where was given more time to develop enterprise
stories pitched daily, featuring local politics, community boards, police, bad landlords, city
agencies and cultural anomalies. Adept at cultivating sources, combing though city and state
databases, court filings, public records and filing freedom of information requests. Hosted,
produced and edited two seasons of a podcast called This is New York, featuring New York City
neighborhoods with interviews and reported audio features.

Reporter/Photographer Voices of NY, Sept. 2013- Dec. 2014 Pitched, reported and researched
stories covering everything from negligent landlords to worker co- operatives. Responsible for
managing the Twitter account.

Intern, Freelancer WNYC, Education Desk, Summer 2014 Covered daily news for SchoolBook,
WNYCs education desk. Sifted through reams of data on school suspensions, identifying trends
and outliers. From my findings, I reported out one story that earned a national Society of
Professional Journalists award for in depth radio reporting. Recorded, cut and logged tape and
wrote copy for the air and the web for WNYCs local news packages.

and photographer for online news source www.santiagotimes.cl, and travel websites Chile.travel,
thisischile.cl. Reporting done in Spanish for English language publication.
