In many way the two are distinctly opposites but i feel with some
adjustments it maybe possible.
We will start with the common full moon which is apart of witchcraft
celebration.
Decide your quarters and in some way mark them symbolically, They
should consist of the four elemental winds, when working in nature
please decide their position based on environment rather than
compass points.
However you do set up a ritual space that which your are working in
it can be any shape or size. and its boundaries are really loosely
defined so any ritual or energy work is uninhibited by boundaries.
Protection is provided by the four winds and the person in role of the
guardian.
Then sweep the space three times, first the ground second the
midheaven thirdly the sky. There is a standard rhyme which I usually
adapt to the occasionAway I sweep all troubles and ills,Away I sweep
the Wind and the Rain,Away I sweep till I turn again.
Then call in the four Winds, these are the elements but seen in the
form of Winds. These are in essence the Elemental spirits which
manifest if your lucky in the form of a mist or almost whirlwind
energy. You call them in with respect like inviting an great aunt or
uncle familiar but aware of how much more they know then you do.
You can use a wand or stave our traditionally the broom. NEVER ever
point a knife or sword at the elements.
Once the Quarters are invited then Invite the God and Goddess
Lord Herne of the Shadows we gather here to honour your wife our
Mother in all her glory.
O Goddess of the Moon and Stars
We ask that you grant us you power and wisdom to fulfil your work
Call to the Moon visualising the energy of the Moon being drawn
into your Chalice/Cauldron
(You may also bring the energy into your knife or sword if focusing
for particular spell )
Bless Water/wine
Then all partake of the liquid and use for spell or other magical
workings. Unused liquid may be store or taken away for further
workings.
