Gor-Banjaras are ethnic tribal group of people of India. They speak a common language, which
is known by different names as Gor-Boli / Banjara language / Gormati language but the Gor-Boli
is comprehensively considered and it is more melodic, romantic and poetic as characterized by its
distinctive nature and lingustic beauty

This is book typically illustrates the Indian Gor Bnjaras ethnic identity, golorious history, cultural
values, preceptions and folk-lores and its linguistic beauty.

The purpose of the book is to investigate the use of Gor Banjaras foik literature in the form of
Geed, Sakees, Saktars and Kenavats, folk lores, myths, folk tales, puzzles,proverbs, sayings, rites
and rituals and their role in moral education and to evaluate their contribution towards the
value formation for Gor Banjara community through proper linguistic patterns .

Having 20 years of experience in teaching and research. Prof. Dinesh Rathod has some research
publications and some awards to his credit and some of them pertaining to Gor-Banjara
community.

Gor Bamara community of all states of India and living abroad Roma- Banjara people who
migrated about 200 years ago from Eastern India to Europe and America and other countries.
Their structure is like nomadic Gor Banjara. The anthroplogical blood group studies have proved
them Indian origin .

Gor-Banjara has a unique yet independent culture. They have preserved their unique tradition of
livelihood and independent folk life. It is very much evident in their life style, food, habits,
festivals, rites, rituals, Bano (clothing), crafts, worship, dances, songs, Bolis/Bani (language),
Dhati (culture) and folk literature with distinctive and lingustic beauty. Gor Banjara literature is
written in the Devnagari script, It has no script.
