RESUMEN
Objetivos: Los objetivos del trabajo fueron caracterizar la preparacin de la familia para enfrentar la rehabilitacin del
nio con lesin neurolgica y proponer una estrategia de orientacin. Material y mtodo: Se hizo el estudio de 22 nios
atendidos en el Servicio de Logopedia del CIREN y sus familiares acompaantes. Se realiz una entrevista general para
evaluar las caractersticas de la familia en relacin con la deficiencia del nio, la observacin y encuesta para determinar
la relacin familiar-nio durante la etapa de tratamiento, as como la relacin de la familia hacia las reas afectadas y
la exploracin logopdica, durante la cual se investig la patologa de la comunicacin. Resultados: Se ubic la muestra
en seis categoras segn la actitud hacia el problema del nio, valorando el inters de los familiares por la rehabilitacin
de las diferentes reas afectadas. Se derivaron las necesidades del equipo multifactorial en funcin de la orienta-
cin familiar temprana y su seguimiento. Recomendamos una estrategia de acciones para la orientacin a la familia.
Conclusiones: La orientacin a la familia forma parte de la estrategia del equipo multifactorial en la atencin tempra-
na de los menores con lesiones neurolgicas. El especialista necesita conocer las particularidades de la familia para
orientar adecuadamente a sta en relacin con los objetivos teraputicos de cada etapa.

The orientation to the family of the child with special educative necessity
ABSTRACT
Objectives: The objectives of the work were to characterize the preparation of the family to face the boys rehabilitation
with neurological lesion and to propose an orientation strategy. Material and method: the study of 22 children was
made assisted in the Logopedia Service of the CIREN and their accompanying relatives. A general interview was carried
out to evaluate the characteristics of the family in connection with the boys deficiency; the observation and survey to
determine the relationship family-boy during the treatment stage, as well as the relationship of the family toward the
affected areas and the logopedic exploration during which the pathology of the communication was investigated.
Results: The sample was located in six categories according to the attitude toward the boys problem, valuing the
interest of the relatives for the rehabilitation of the different affected areas. They were derived the necessities of the
multifactor team in function of the early family orientation and their pursuit. We recommend an action strategy for the
orientation to the family. Conclusions: The orientation to the family is part of the strategy of the multifactor team in
the early attention of the minor with neurological lesions. The specialist needs to know the particularities of the family
to guide it appropriately in connection with the therapeutic objectives of each stage.
