PAPER TRAIL

They say that the youth are the thought bank of the nation and Paper Trail is the right place to
prove yourself worthy of the responsibility! If you are a budding social planner, this January,
prove your presentation best in front of our esteemed panel of judges. Come change the
world, one idea at a time.

Topics:

Role of Education in Sustainable Development.

The efficacy of foreign direct investment in India on long term growth and poverty
reduction.

The impact of Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the Indian Economy.

RULES:

A maximum of 4 participants will be allowed per team.

All participants must either be enrolled in bachelor's or masters course in the


discipline of Economics. Participants in a team can be of different institutes. (Cross
College Teams allowed). However, all participants in a team must either be
undergraduate students or masters students. (Cross UG-PG teams are not allowed)

Undergraduate papers and the Postgraduate papers would be judged separately in


order to maintain parity and equal weightage.

Each team will be allotted a total of 10 + 5 minutes for presentation. The first 10
minutes will be for presenting the paper and the next 5 minutes will be an interactive
session with the judges.

There is no limit to the number of teams participating from a college.

The paper should be the original work of the participants.

PAPER FORMAT:

A word limit of 5000 words must be maintained.

The cover page must include the title of the paper, details of the participants (name,
email id, mobile no.). It is mandatory to mention if the paper is to be treated as a UG
or a PG entry.
An abstract of the paper is mandatory. It must not exceed 500 words. This should go
on the second page.

Font: Times New Roman, 12pt.

All, diagrams, tables must be self-drawn or taken from a data source. In the latter
case, appropriate data source must be mentioned. Both primary and secondary data
will be accepted.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

The completed papers must be submitted before the deadline to the following
email id: submissions@yesm.in with subject as: <name of the event>_<topic name>.

The file name should be as follows Collegename(s).nameofanyoftheparticipants.

Participants must send their papers by 12th December(tentative).
