Classroom rules.
Before start the lesson, I will do the daily routine with the children through listening to the Quran,
singing the national anthem, welcoming the children, singing few songs related to the theme, and
playing for one minute.
Then, we will start the circle time. the children will bring their chairs to set. In the last Wednesday I
tried to set in the floor and make a circle with them, but they could not understand and it was difficult
to organize them and keep them in their place.
I will try to keep the lesson short and attractive for them. First, I will introduce my self to them.
second, I will illustrate some basic classroom rules for the children to help reinforce the good
behavior in the class by showing the reward system. Then, I will engage the children through another
story, but with different concept.
Note: I use stories and puppets because my class seem to react positively with them.
The story will follow the scenario of Are You My Mother story? story. The story is about a farmer
who found lost baby animals and help them back to their mothers in the barn.
Before introducing and narrating the story, I will ask the children a question: Do animals have babies?
Then I will start the story.
One day, there was a boy farmer who went back to his farm. On his way to the farm he heard a little,
light sound, sad voice. It was saying: Quack, Quack, Quack with sad tune. Who is this animal? Do
you know it children? It is a small duck! The boy farmer said: who are you? The duckling said: I am
a baby duck. The baby duck called a duckling. I am lost, I do not know where is my mother? The
little farmer decided to help the duckling to find its mother. Both of them went to the farm to search
for the mother. The little duckling open the first door and found a Cow! Is the cow the mother
of the duckling? No the duckling opened the other doors. It did not found his mother and said: the

cow is not my mother, the sheep is not my mother, the hen is not my mother, and the horse is not my
mother, who is my mother? In this point, I will close and cover all the animals who are not the mother
and leave the duck only open to let the children notice, think also try to answer the question. The

other baby animals will have the same script as the duckling.
Note: during the story, there will be some questions used to engaged the children during the lesson.
The children will participate in the story through answering, questioning or commenting. the circle
time activity will be choosing a baby animal without knowing who is it and match it with its mother.
In case the lesson take more time, we will implement the same learning outcome with different
activities in the activities period.
The first activity will be the whole class activity. In this activity, I will assess the children
understanding to the lesson through the ability to match baby animals with their mothers. Children
will match and glue the baby farm animals with their mothers in the paper.
The second activity will be also a whole class activity. It will be an art activity. The children will use
their hands print to make mother and baby animal. The children will have the free choice to the
colors, animal, their designs to complete this activity. As a teacher I will provide five examples for
this activity for the five animals in the lesson. Children may have more animals to create with other
colors.
The second activity picture:
The third activity will be considered as the small groups activity because in this time children are
used to go to play in the corners and after a short of time start eating. In this activity, I will observe
childrens ability to solve the puzzles. The puzzles are simple, suit their intellectual abilities in
addition, it is about the animals. These puzzles are made from 3 to 4 or 5 big pieces so children will
not have impossible task to achieve. In this activity, each child will have an animal puzzle to solve
and during that I will see if the children can do it or not.
The fourth activity will be considered as another small groups activity. This activity will have the
same idea of the first whole activity but with different form. In this activity, children will have two
put the mother and the baby in the barn by using big animals cards. This activity can be done on the
tables or in the science area. Better to teach children about then put it in the science area.
The fifth activity is another groups activity. This activity will be used in the role play area. This
activity will carry the idea of the lesson. Children will identify the mother and the baby animals and
being asked about the lesson during this activity. To include some fun and suit Mohmmads active
spirit, I will ask children to wear the masks and sing the Old Macdonald Had a Farm song. In this
song when I say: Old Macdonald Had a cow, the child who wear the cow mask will say: Moo.
In addition, I will include the baby animals names to find and assess the children if they able to
distinguish or identify them. In case they could not, for instance, I will say: duckling, the baby duck.
