Unit Summary:

This units purpose is to develop an understanding to Shakespeares plays as they are not written in everyday English. Family plays an important role in both Romeo and
Juliet and A Midsummer Nights Dream. The characters in their respective play face situations because of their families and we learn from them as they do. Students will
document through journals, class discussion, and an essay what they learn about themes and character development in the texts.
