SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)
Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
I had two learning outcomes that I achieved for this lesson Students will be able to say the sound ''i''
And Students will be able to write the sound ''i''. I showed students pictures that starts with the
sound I and I was saying the sound out loud and students were repeating after me. In the carpet I
showed the students how to write the sound i and I called out few students to come up and write the
sound i on the board.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? The lesson was delivered to KG2 students and they all were engaged with me
while I'm delivering the lesson to them.

Where did the lesson take place? In the classroom

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? I was trying to work on engaging students and all
students were engaged.
What did the students do? Actually in the carpet time they all were engaged and answering my question
, and after that I separated them and gave them different activities to work on in the centers, they were
all helping each other and I was moving around and watching the children if they needed my help.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? Because they were engaged and
excited.

How well did your teaching relate to the students prior understanding? My lesson was well delivered
and all the student were very excited while I'm teaching them and giving them the activities.

How well did you engage the students? I think that all the students were engaged because as I start
delivering the lesson, I sang one little finger song.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students perspective: All students were active and
answering my questions , and what I like the most that I was asking the low achievers more than the high
achievers because I want all students to understand

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

I Achieved my goals, I engaged students with different materials and before introducing I sing a song with
them then I start introducing the lesson. The second goals is to keep my voice loud so that they all hear
me well.
Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? Students will know how to write
the sound i and they will also be able to say the sound p correctly.

What are the implications for your professional practice?

I benefited a lot from this lesson, I did activities that matches each student's level and I felt that it's very
helpful for all the levels.
