The Wadia Group is a multiproduct, multilocational

With 125 years at the forefront of industry in India,

Over 250 years ago, the Wadia's first venture was in the
area of ship building. More than 355 ships were designed
and built by the Wadias. It was on one such ship that
the American National Anthem was composed and on another
Wadia - built deck that the 'Treaty of Nanking', ceding
Hongkong to England was signed.
In 1879, Nowrosjee Wadia set his sights on India's
mushrooming textile industry and that was the start of
The Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Co. Ltd. which is
today one of the largest manufacturers of textiles.
Today, the Wadia group has diversified in many fields.
