Article is a word which is used to generalize, specify or particularize a noun.

1. Indefinite Articles
Indefinite Articles are those Articles that are used to define indefinite person, place and
thing. Indefinite Articles are two in number { A and An }
A Means One
AN Means One
The form (A) is used before a singular noun or word that is beginning with consonant/semi vowel letters.
EXAMPLES:
A car A pen A tomato A book A pencil A cup A desk A bus A boy A shop
A beautiful girl A good boy A small car A big shop A rich woman
The form (An) is also used before a singular noun or word that is beginning with vowel letters or sounds.
EXAMPLES:
An apple An eggplant An egg An iron An orange An onion An umbrella
An interesting book An intelligent boy An incredible story An ugly girl
GUIDELINES FOR USING INDEFINITE ARTICLES
RULE ONE:
Remember using Indefinite Articles (A & An) depends on the sound that begins the next word.

The Indefinite Articles are used when the noun is singular.

The Indefinite Articles are not used if the noun is plural.

The Indefinite Articles are used when the noun is countable singular noun.

RULE FIVE:
The Indefinite Articles are not used if the noun is uncountable noun.
