Fill in the blank copies for the whole class, extra notes for new student,
PROCEDURE
Introduction Time
Thoughtful Tuesday- tearing down history discussion
Introduce new student to the rest of the class 10 min
Considerations Body Time
Students will wrap up the slavery discussion by completing a
worksheet reflecting on the previous days discussion and notes.
This will be handed in for formative purposes but the students will

not know that.
We will than be linking the slavery discussion to the American civil
war and the events that are currently taking place in the American
south. Students will take fill in the blank notes on the topic since it is
35 min
not directly in the curriculum
Sponge activity If students are done taking notes early, they will have the remaining
class time to finish their slavery handouts if they didnt finish them
early.
For those who are done the slavery worksheet, they will start
working on their vocab to help them keep the terms straight
Closure Time
Introduce the topic of capitalism and that after slavery the United States shifted to a market
Economy and aware from the system of mercantilism
Remind students that their report cards are coming out in two weeks and what their mark is at
5 min
On Friday is what will go one it.
