1) The Holy Qur’an is the principle source for Islam & Islamic Law
Al-Baiyinah (The Clear Evidence) 98:3. Wherein are laws (or decrees)
right and straight.
27:1. These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear;
2:129 "Our Lord! send amongst them an Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy
Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art
the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
3:164 Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them an
apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying
them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before that, they had
been in manifest error.
Al-Waqiah (The Event) 56:79 Which none shall touch but those who are
clean:
Ta-Ha 20:114. High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in
haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say,
"O my Lord! advance me in knowledge."
Al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:185. Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent
down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance
and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is
present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but
if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made
up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want
to put to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period,
and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be
grateful.
7) Gathered by God
An-Nahl (The Bee) 16:89. One day We shall raise from all Peoples a
witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring
thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to
thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings
to Muslims.
Al-A’raaf (The Heights) 7:204. When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with
attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy.
10) Why some people are not satisfied with the Holy Qur’an
Al-Kahf (The Cave) 18:54. We have explained in detail in this Qur'an, for
the benefit of mankind, every kind of similitude: but man is, in most
things, contentious.
10:15. But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope
on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say:
"It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed
unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to
come)."
11:13. Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten surahs forged, like unto it,
and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah.- If ye speak the truth!
11:14. "If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation
is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will
ye even then submit (to Islam)?"
11:15. Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter,- to them we shall pay (the
price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution.
An-Nahl (The Bee) 16:98. When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah’s
protection from Satan the rejected one.
Al-Hashr (The Gathering) 59:21. Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain,
verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for
fear of Allah. Such are the similitude which We propound to men, that
they may reflect.
Al-Furqaan (The Criterion) 25:30. Then the Messenger will say: "O my
Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense."
2:2. This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.
3. Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We
have provided for them;
4. And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and
(in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.
5. They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.
