cultures and backgrounds. Communication and culture helps us to learn different values,
understand the way we, ourselves, communicate, but we need to understand that others
world differently as well, giving us a bigger and broader chance at understanding the
world around us and the people who live here. Being able to communicate
interpersonally and intercultural is an important skill as we move forward into the 21st
century. We are no longer isolated in the corners of our world, but we have been tossed
I think the main goal of intercultural communication is to realize the value and
importance of accepting a spectrum of global differences this world has. A simple advice
I give how to behave and communicate when you are abroad is: Be polite, behave also
be strong and calm do not show your weakness, you must believe in yourself. Everybody
should realize he /she is representing his country. What people think about you usually
think about your country too. Accept and respect the culture and all stuff connected.
Every culture is original and special we should not try to change to the picture we like.

The four pillars of education which are learning to know, leaning to do, learning
together and learning to be ,each one has a different point of view and helps us see
things and understand different things. Learning to know; mainly talks about how we
start thinking, we process things, how we concentrate, and memory skills. As you know
since we are small kids we start learning, concentrating and thinking. I personally think
this is the most important pillar of education since its the first one we develop and use in
our live. Learning to do; talks about how can we use education and how can we adapt it
to future. What I understand about this learning is that is for professional persons, who

want to improve it all. The learning to be together; talks about how can we unite the
world, how can we teach our students to care for others and make awareness of what is
going on, in the world and in other countries and the last one learning to be; talks about
how can we just be ourselves and succeed and how that can help us in education letting
I believe as educators we must combine all the pillars. All make the basis of a good
education. We need to give the students knowledge in order the gain the competencies
they need to outstand in their future. We must give them the tools they need to
recognize the world around them, exercise their memory, attention and thought. If they
have the knowledge they learn to do, they materialize what they have in their brains;
each one according to their level and capabilities. They learn to make judgments about
right and wrong so they can think critically. Also we should guide them through the
discovery of who they are, and what do they want in life, we must provide all the possible
experiences so they can reach to those answers. If they know who they are, accept and
love themselves they will accept, tolerate and love others. They will learn the importance
of a persons essence; that goes beyond social class, color, education and culture. All the
pillars are part of an integral education that allows us to form human beings, that will be
able to defend themselves in a world of constant change and will make them part of a
better world.

have so many expectations from a teacher ranging from his role in classroom
From the discussion that we had, I learned that each of us has a philosophy to
adhere, and I found out that I might be a progressivist and essentialist as well. The
progressivist states that the learns accept the impermanence of life and the inevitability
of change, that everything else changes. This group of teachers teach learners so they
may live life fully NOW not to prepare them for adult life. On the other hand, having a
potential as essentialist, it states that teachers teach for learners to acquire basic
knowledge, skills and values. Teachers teach not to radically reshape society but rather to
transmit the traditional moral values and intellectual knowledge that students need to
As a teacher, you have a significant role to play in society. Your influence on your
students and on other people with whom you work and live depends a great deal on
your philosophy as a person and as a teacher. Our philosophy of life and your
philosophy of education serve as your window to the world and compass in the sea of
life.

As a future teacher, I believed that the students/pupils should be taken good care
at school or even at home and feed them with knowledge appropriately intended for
should sustain the relevance of the academic needs of a child to prepare them not for
the adult life but how to deal life for today. In one way to another, they will be able to
know and adapt any circumstances they will be encountering as they continue their
