UMPTa6
LTE TDD single-mode
UMPT (Universal Main Processing &
Transmission Unit )

Mandatory without LMPT, maximum 2 boards, hold in slot 7(default)

or 6
Functions:
Performs configuration management, equipment management,
performance monitoring, signaling processing, and radio resource
management
Controls all boards in the system
Provides the system clock and transmission ports
Local O&M Connection Based on UMPT
The USB port with the USB silkscreen is used for the software
upgrade of a base station using a Universal Serial Bus (USB)
flash drive. This port also functions as a commissioning Ethernet
port

An adapter is used for local maintenance connects the USB port

on the UMPT to an Ethernet cable during local maintenance
UBBP (Universal Baseband
Processing Unit )

The UBBP can be configured in a BBU3900 or BBU3910.

Mandatory without LBBP, maximum 6 boards, hold in slot 0, 1, 2, 3
(default), 4, or 5.
Function:

Provides CPRI ports for communication with RF modules.

Processes uplink and downlink baseband signals.

Supports the multiplex of baseband resources among different modes,

thereby implementing multimode concurrency.
