S: December 8th. My little sisters birthday is National Teachers Day!
P: Thats so cool, that must me shell be a teacher when she grows up! Do you have a
favorite subject?
S: I like recess.
P: *laughs, can you tell me what your favorite subject inside the classroom is?
S: Uh, I like math.
P: Me too! Why do you like math?
S: Because I get to solve problems.
P: So you enjoy solving word problems. Thats awesome! Can you tell me what its
like to be a mathematician?
S: Im not a mathematician, thats a job.
P: Sure you are! You solve math problems dont you?
S: Yeah..
P: That makes you a mathematician!
S: I guess its fun then; I like helping my friends with math too.
P: Thats so great, I like hearing you help other classmates with math. Thanks for
