confidently, as well as learn new music.

1. Throw Catch warm-up song. Teach them this through rote.

Sing through from beginning until the end. Students should be
confident from measures 45, and then 45 through to the end will 15
be sight singing. mins
Based on listening, if students need more work on the
beginning/middle section go back to the beginning and work

through parts.
Move on to measures 45 through to the end singing once
together to assess the students sight singing and listening in
their sections.
Go through each section separately on their own, together with
no piano, and then together with the accompaniment.
Work on the ending and make sure that students are together
and watching my direction with the fermata.
Try running through the piece as a whole.
Really work on phrasing, dynamics, and intonation of text today.
Assessments/ Differentiation Observations
Learning Activity #3 Hush! Somebodys Callin My Name arr. Rollo Dilworth
Review what was learned last class. Measures 1-53, then
continue on sight singing measures 53 through to the end.
Based on listening, if students need more work on the
beginning/middle sections and go back to the beginning and
work through parts.
Move on to measures 53 through to the end singing once
together to assess the students sight singing and listening in

their sections because this is the first time harmony comes in.

Go through the rhythms and clap them as a class if needed.
Work through the chord progression at the very end of the piece.
Spend some time solidifying each sections note and making sure
they are confident with their own part.
Try beginning to end with piano accompaniment, being aware of
what sections need tuning up next week.
