Requests were received from Detective Gasca of the Street Gang Unit for reference samples to
be compared to analysis previously performed in this case. Please see my previous reports in
this case dated December 23, 2008; October 19, 2009; June 1, 2010; and July 15, 2010 for
additional information.

RESULTS
See Tables 1, 2, 3, and 4 (attached) for the DNA typing results.
CONCLUSIONS
Note: The conclusions presented in this report reflect comparisons of all newly processed
reference samples to the previously analyzed evidence, For conclusions regarding all other
individuals please see my previous reports.
1. The DNA recovered from the apparent bloodstain from the grass (Item 6), the swabs of
Moises Lopez’ knuckles, and the fingernail scrapings (Items 29, 30, 31, and 32) is consistent
with originating from Moises Lopez.
Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA.
obtained from this evidence.
2. ‘The DNA recovered from the apparent vomit (Items 14 and 14-2) matches the DNA obtained
from Victor Ramos. Please refer to the report dated July 15, 2010 for the associated
statistical probabilities.
“Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA.
obtained from this evidence.
3. The DNA recovered from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS15A) and the predominant
DNA recovered from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS12A) matches the DNA obtained
from Siria Ford. Please refer to the report dated July 15, 2010 for the associated statistical
probabilities.
“Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA
obtained from this evidence.
4, The DNA recovered from the apparent bloodstains from the baseball hat (Item 2-1), the right
and left gloves (Items 16-1 and 17-1), from 4075 Franklin Avenue (Item 40) and the
predominant DNA from the swabs of the inner palms of the left glove (Item 17-2) matches
the DNA obtained from Moises Lopez.
Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA.

CONCLUSIONS (continued)
5. The DNA recovered from the swab of the inner palm of the right glove (Item 16-2 - 2"
analysis) is a mixture of DNA from at least three people, The predominant DNA in this
mixture matches the DNA obtained from Moises Lopez. Florencio Dominguez is included as
a possible minor DNA contributor to the mixture. Please refer to the report dated June 1,
2010 for the associated statistical probabilities.
.Due to the combination of detected DNA types in this mixture it is inconclusive as to
‘whether Roberto Ruiz or Josue Gutierrez could be possible minor DNA contributors to this
mixture.
Ismael Aceves is excluded as a possible DNA contributor to the DNA obtained from this
evidence.
6. The DNA recovered from the apparent bloodstains from the left shoulder of the shirt (Item
37-1), from Victor Ramos” shirt (Item 43B-1), the shirt found at 4075 Franklin Avenue
(tems 44-1 and 44-2), and the DNA recovered from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS9A)
is from an unknown male,
Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA
obtained from this evidence.
7, ‘The DNA recovered from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS13A) is from a second
‘unknown male.
Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA
obtained from this evidence,
8. A low level of DNA was recovered ftom the swab of the collar of the shirt recovered at 4075
Franklin Avenue (Item 44-3). The results are too low to make any conclusions regarding this
sample.
9, The DNA recovered from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS8A) and the predominant DNA
from the swab of the beer bottle (Item FS10A) matches the DNA obtained from Florencio
Dominguez. Please refer to the report dated June 1, 2010 for the associated statistical
probabilities,
Roberto Ruiz, Josue Gutierrez, and Ismael Aceves are excluded as the source of the DNA
“obtained from this evidence.FORENSIC BIOLOGY UNIT

CONCLUSIONS (continued)
10. A mixture of DNA from at least three people was recovered from the swab of the collar area
of the shirt (Item 37-2). Victor Ramos is included as a possible major DNA contributor to
the mixture. Evelyn Soto and Siria Ford could not be excluded as possible minor DNA
contributors to this mixture.
Due to the combination of DNA types detected in the mixture itis inconclusive as to whether
Roberto Ruiz could be a possible minor DNA contributor to this mixture.
Ismael Aceves and Josie Gutierrez are excluded as contributors to the mixture of DNA
obtained from this evidence.
DISPOSITION OF EVIDENCE,
‘The reference samples were returned to the Property Room. The extracted DNA was submitted
to the Property Room under Property Tag #148534.
