The benchmark indices took a breather on Tuesday as the possibility of the Reserve Bank of
14101010/02/1403/12/2013
India (RBI) cutting interest rates next month was further dampened after key inflation
indicators inched up in October. The consumers price index (CPI)-based inflation came in at
3.58% for October, its seven-month high, while wholesale price index (WPI)-based inflation
stood at 3.59%, its six-month high.

The Sensex ended at 32,941, down 91 points, while the broader Nifty50 closed at 10,186,
down 38 points.

Nifty November 2017 futures closed at 10233.60 on Tuesday, at a premium of 47 points over
spot closing of 10186.60, while Nifty December 2017 futures ended at 10274.05, at a
premium of 87.45 points over spot closing. Nifty November futures saw a contraction of 1.20
million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 24.82 mn units.

Highest open interest has been seen in 10500 and 10400 strike price for call option and in
10200 and 10300 strike price for put option.
