International Standards in process
An International Standard is the result of an agreement between the TC 34 Food products
member bodies of ISO. A first important step towards an International
Standard takes the form of a committee draft (CD) - this is circulated ISO/CD 12779 Lactose – Determination of water content –
for study within an ISO technical committee. When consensus has Karl Fischer method
been reached within the technical committee, the document is sent to
ISO/CD 13082 Milk and milk products – Determination of the
the Central Secretariat for processing as a draft International
