Controversial of peoples opinion

Sometimes the project of a highway, or road needs to be concern if the people who live

in the place agree with the changes. For example, according to the article Communication &

Participation, the authors report that the populations who live near to the road US 462 do not

agree with the construction of four-lane highway. For these reasons, they hired a lawyer to

represent them. In addition, the people argue that the existing highway is sufficient for the traffic

volume and the number of the crashes can be decreased with the alteration of speed in the road.

The people who live along the road believe that they will lose some historical buildings if they

build a new highway. Furthermore, they state that some animals will lose their habitat, and this

might disrupt hunting in the local. However, some citizens agreed with the highway construction

because they know that it is dangerous to drive in the current road. Moreover, drivers who use

the road everyday but do not live near to the road know that the construction of the highway is

essential. Nevertheless, this people do not have voice because they do not have a spokesperson

that represents their opinions. The citizens need to consider the both sides, and they have to

decide the best solution for everybody. In addition, the people who agree with the new highway

have to organize and show their opinions for all the people. In conclusion, it is important to know

the opinions of the people when there is a project of a new construction of highway or a road,

and they need to do an agreement and choose the best for society.
