Introduction

Students attendance is very important because when we are studying

100% of our grade is based on our attendance. But if you dont take any exam or

quizzes that 100% will decrease. The advantage of the students who are always

present, he/she can get more knowledge and information about the topic that

have been discussed. While the students who are always absent, he/she will

behind on the classes.

Educators, parents, and politicians are continuously searching for that

solution that will reform our public education system and establish a flawless

system of education for our youth, by providing them with a quality education

(Edwards, 2002). the success of the school in carrying out its primary charge of

educating and socializing students students is contingent on students attending

school regularly (Smith 1998 p.1. smith (1998), in his study emphasize that

attendance is a priority for educators.

This study investigates attendance in the primary grades. The goal is to

identify early indicators of poor attendance at the primary level in order to provide

interventions that could have an impact on middle and high school students

attendance. Research conducted in this area could provide school divisions with

vital information about the students attendance patterns at the level that could

reveal or predict an influence on students attendance in the middle and high

school level.
Statement of the problem

This study is conducted to determine the effect the effect of attendance to

students achievement. This will answer the following questions below:

what is the effect of students attendance to the students achievements?

how does 0% absences affect students achievement?

there is no significant effect.

Assumption of hypothesis

*There is no significant effect.

Significance of the study

The study is significant to the following:

Students-To let them know what are the effect of their absences to their

achievements.

Teachers-To guide their students on studying

Definition of terms

Student - a person who studying in school.

Attendance- the action or state of going regularly to or be being present at

a place or event.
Scope and delimitation

-This study is limited in New Dumangas National high school.

Methodology

Research design

-This study used the experimental research method.

Locale of the study

-This was conducted in New Dumangas National high school.

Respondents of the study

-The respondents of the study are the T.V.L senior high school students.

Data Gathering Instruments

-The researcher used the attendance sheet as basis of the study.

Data gathering procedure

-Present or ask the principal to sign the letter of approval, then the researcher

conducted the study.
