The first IBED meeting opened through a prayer led by Mrs. Rossana P. Bagon, principal
of the IBED.

REVELATION OF PRAYER PARTNER


The administrative team revealed their prayer partner. Some of them had difficulty
recalling their partners but majority of the team made it a habit to include their partner in their
personal prayer, household and group prayer meeting. Everyone showed appreciation to
his/her prayer warriors for the prayers really worked. For SY 2017-2018, each one again picked
their prayer partner.

WELCOMING ONE ANOTHER


Mrs. Bagon welcomed everyone especially Mrs. Evangeline S. Buenafe, the new MAPEH
coordinator. Knowing that this school year will be filled with a lot of challenges, Mrs. Bagons
welcome token for this year is a rosary. She reminded everyone to pray the rosary every day
and to keep it in their pocket. With the struggles to be faced, it will be the source of strength of
everyone. She told everyone that many times, the group will experience failure and one must
always hold on to his/her faith.
She mentioned that Sr. Bernadette Guzman term of office will end on May 30. She
mentioned about the current situation the school is facing regarding the summer sports
program, canteen, gym, parking and accreditation.

COMMITMENT OF THE TEAM


To set the team for making of commitment, A Meditation for Teachers based on 1
Corinthians was read by the group. Each one was encouraged to make their individual
commitment. It was followed by sharing. Afterwards, Mrs. Bagon instructed them to make a
team commitment based on each individual commitment. This is the teams commitment for
this year:
We, the administrative team of the Integrated Basic Education Department 2017-
2018, commits ourselves to love and serve to the best of our abilities to carry our mission in
the vineyard of the greatest teacher, Jesus.
Mrs. Bagon closed the said part of the meeting by saying that whatever feeling is
prevailing, each one must try to be positive.

SETTING OF THE TARGET GOALS OF THE INTEGRATED BASIC EDUCATION


The principal reviewed the target goals of IBED. For this year, the concrete target is a
successful accreditation through a well-planned instructional program (curricular and co-
curricular). She emphasized that there should be a refined curriculum map with competencies
that are parallel to DepEd at the same time contains add-ons.
She reminded the subject area coordinator to prepare the following: Academic Budget,
List of Projects/ Performance task, Learning Plans, List of Activities/contests in the entire school
year, Target Setting Worksheet/Annual Learning plan and Requests for the whole year. She also
reminded the subject area coordinators that the medals are just meant for contests sponsored
by the department. She also reminded them to include in the list the possible activities to be

adopted. She also added that only invitations for IBEd will be given budget. Institutional
invitations will be shouldered by the institution.
The heads of offices were reminded to discuss the duties and responsibilities of each
staff. They were also asked to plan the activities of the office, the target facilitator, budget and
schedule as well as their requests.
She also instructed the prefect of discipline to have a special meeting with the teachers
regarding the rules and policies. She also saw the need to make changes in the prescribed
haircut. She suggested to have a standee that shows the prescribed uniform.

PAASCU CONCERNS
The principal mentioned that in the reports of PAASCU, the comments and the
evaluation must be parallel. For the Philosophy and Objectives committee, they were reminded
to follow up reviews and there should be faculty development to review the philosophy and
objectives of the institution. In charge of the faculty committee must have the line up,
assessment of the needs of the faculty and concrete action plan.

OTHER CONCERNS
Mrs. Bagon also mentioned that in the registrars office, work is not equally distributed.
She instructed Mrs. Montalbo to do something on the tasking. She reminded the office to give
due dates for enrollees. She also reminded the office to give better service by not making things
difficult for the client. She mentioned the requirements being asked from parents of learners
coming from public school. She also asked Mrs. Montalbo to review the admission policy. She
also told them to tell the teachers to use the encoding periods. She also mentioned the need to
review the criteria for awards and honors.
Leaders of the month for monthly administrative meeting were also identified. Th e

It was agreed upon that updates and information of each department will be posted on
rpbagonibed.weebly.com.
Mrs. Montalbo gave the schedule and calendar days for SY 2017-2018.
Mrs. Bagon also presented the last years budget. She also presented the evaluation for
the administrative team as well as for the teachers. She also said that she also requested the HR
if she can have the evaluation of the administrative team for her to make the necessary
adjustment in her evaluation.
Mrs. Bagon ended the meeting with a prayer.
