Sinatra: King of Swoon

Frank Sinatra impacted the world worth his smooth personality, his capitalistic mind, and

take on the already hugely popular genre, Jazz. He was loved by many, personally, and his music

was beloved by the masses. Not only was he extremely successful in the music industry, but in

his time, he was a renaissance man of sorts; excelling in acting, entrepreneurship, among other

titles. He truly showed on could shoot for the stars and farther. The one quote that could sum up

his life satisfactory is: The best revenge is massive success- Francis A. Sinatra.

Frank Sinatra was born on December 12, 1915, into the family of Anthony Martin Sinatra

and Natalie Della Gavarante Sinatra, at Hoboken, NJ. When young, Sinatra was inspired by the

music of his time by artist such as Bing Crosby. As a teenager, his experience regarding music

was very small though, in high school, he was a part of a glee club and would even begin singing

outside of school in public nightclubs(Frank Sinatra). Sinatra was of italian heritage and at a

time was called names like Ol Blue Eyes or Frankie, to name a few( The Pop History Dig).

Sinatras love of swoon would soon skyrocket before his eyes and he wouldnt even see it

coming.

Frank Sinatra was always a strong individual even at an early age very independent even

Though under his tough exterior, he was known to by many to be kind and soft. Tony Bennett, a

jazz-goer himself, was a huge of fan Frank and Frank was a fan of his. Bennett mentions the fact

that Sinatra helped him overcome his anxiety of performing live with great encouragement like

the audience are your friends, they come to see you(Blistein "Watch Tony Bennett Recall

Friendship With Frank Sinatra on 'Fallon'" 2016). This shows how caring Sinatra could be when

he didnt need to. His integrity is a value that is priceless, and that many wish they owned.

Sinatra wasnt only likeable by personality, but he heavily influenced the 20th century in

music and versatility in entertainment. His personality expounded in the 40 something films he

starred in. If it wasnt his music, youd see his face on the silver screen. He also was a

recognizable producer and director.

Sintra didnt just produce music, he reinvented it. One of Sinatras most well-known

song, Ive Got You Under My Skin, was one he revisited and made even more popular than its

original releasing. Sinatras gave songs the midas touch, changing, but not abusing the canon. He

made it more memorable and gave the songs he sang a new meaning, deeper tones, and overall

more enjoyable sound to an otherwise underrated songs(Gardner "10 ways that Frank Sinatra

changed the world" 2015).

Frank Sinatra, as whole, impacted America in countless ways. Authors were dying to

understand more of what Frank Sinatra was all about. One of many authors, Bill Zehme, write

The Way You Wear Your Hat, which talks about Frank Sinatra's lifestyle, personality, trials, and

accomplishments( Remembering Frank Sinatras Enduring Impact on American Culture). The

book explores Sinatras persona in awe-inspiring detail. Gay Talese, bestselling author, said

Sinatra with a cold is Picasso without paint, Ferrari without fuel( Remembering Frank

Sinatras Enduring Impact on American Culture).

Frank Sinatra didnt just influence the music of his time, but he was a huge inspiration to

other artists well ahead of him. Artists like Frank Sinatra Jr, Charlie Puth, Carrie Underwood,

and many others have high regards for this talent. Carrie Underwood said ...So I'm a total fan

of Frank Sinatra and his beautiful voice, it's like silk. Absolutely beautiful.( 11 Artists Reveal

How Frank Sinatra Has Influenced Them). SEAL said The greatest male voice of all time, in

my opinion.(11 Artists Reveal How Frank Sinatra Has Influenced Them). So many others

praised him throughout his life and even after.

In conclusion, Frank Sinatra affected his time in almost way by his personality, musical

talent, drive, and overall dedicated persona. He wasnt just called The Voice, Ol Blue Eyes, or

Swoonatra, but he was arguably dubbed as the king of swoon. He gave music a whole new

meaning but with a familiar sound he adopted from his stars. His inspiring vibe knows no

bounds, and could be, arguably, future proof for decades to come.
