FOH: Mixing desk

Analog:
-High-quality, fully functioning analog mixing desk (Midas,
Yamaha PM-series, Soundcraft Series 5, etc.), with at least 24
input channels and 4 effects return channels available. Fully
parametric 4-band EQ (capable of "bell"-curves with adjustable
Q on low and high bands also) on every input channel. A
minimum of 4 aux sends for effects available (if monitors are fed
from FOH, a minimum of 8 auxes are required). Subgroups are
a welcome extra, as are VCA's, mute-groups and "insert
bypass" -switches on desk surface...
Digital:
Preferred digital mixing desks: Yamaha M7CL, Digico SD8.
If something else is available, a house-technician with complete
knowledge of the desk is required present at FOH all night.
Please notify by phone / sms at least 7 days before date of
performance.
With digital desks, the following is required:
-"One-button-press" recall of effects page for editing (when
using internal effects)
-Delay tempo tap button on a "user defined key" (when using
internal effects)
-"One-button-press" recall of aux send fader layers
No Yamaha 0- or DM -series (01V, 02R, 03, DM1000 etc.) or
early Behringer digital desks (X32 will do in a pinch)! They
might be fine desks, but are too clumsy and slow in
operation for our purposes.

Effects, processing and miscellaneous:

-Effects: 3 pcs reverb processors (f.ex. TC M-One, Yamaha
SPX, Lexicon etc.) and 1pc delay processor with "tap-tempo"
feature (f.ex. TC electronic D-Two).
-10 channels of quality compressors (i.e. BSS, dbx, etc.) with
adjustable attack and release times.
-4 channels of quality gates (i.e. BSS, dbx, etc.)
-Quality dual 31-band EQ for main output, preferably in main
output insert. -Spare inputs for laptop / iPod.
-FOH shall be acoustically wisely located, with an unobstructed
view of the stage. Audience to be kept out of technical premises
at all times. In outdoor venues, FOH should be fully covered for
weather, and electrically safe.
-Effects and dynamics processors shall be ergonomically
placed.
-Talkback from FOH to stage required during soundcheck.

PA-SYSTEM:
-Quality full-range PA-system, capable of producing modern
rock show sound pressure levels, covering all audience areas.
All major makes accepted, brands like Skua Sound 1100 Line
Array, Nexo and d&b Audiotechnik will make us smile.
Cheapie brands and homemade equipment not acceptable.
-Subs preferably in a pattern-controlled configuration (cardioid
or similar) to control sub bleed to stage.
-PA-system ready to go and tuned for the venue.
MONITORS:
-A professional, capable and sober monitor mix engineer, if a
separate monitor console will be used. Having a dedicated
monitor desk and engineer will make things go faster and
smoother.
-A minimum 4pcs of quality, loud monitors (d&b M4) with
powerful amplifiers. All monitors with independent mix sends.
Quality EQ s for feedback control for each send.
-All monitors set up, and ready to go.
IN CASE OF A LIGHTNING STORM OR OTHER SEVERE
WEATHER CONDITIONS, PERFORMANCE WILL BE
HALTED FOR SAFETY REASONS.
