MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as the MOU) has been


executed at Islamabad, on this, day of April 22nd, 2017
by & between
M/s. Maroof International Hospital, a Partnership Concern and having its place of
business at 10th Avenue, F-10 Markaz, Islamabad, (hereinafter referred to as the
Hospital"), of the first part;
and
Dr. Muhammad Abrar, S/o Muhammad Qamar Uz Zaman Ghouri,
CNIC # 61101-2025833-7, Resident of No. 1-A, Street No. 54, Sector F-8/4,
Islamabad

M/s. Maroof International Hospital has offered the Consultant to join the MMDC in the
capacity of a Consultant with the specialization in the field of Dental Surgery and
Implantation. The General Terms of this MOU are as under;
01. The scope of the Consultant services includes IPD and all other related areas
where the services will be required to the hospital.
02. a) The Consultant will be allowed to admit patients according to rules and
regulations of the Hospital and will be Maximum Responsible Physician (MRP)
and / or as Primary Responsible for them.
02. b) Under normal circumstances if requested, the Consultant will come to see the
Hospitals indoor patient during an Emergency or otherwise.
02. c) In case of any disaster, the Consultant will be required to immediately come and
contribute in the emergency treatment to the patients.
03. In case the Consultant is indisposed or on leave, will ensure that related patients
must be handed over to another appropriate Specialist who will look after the
patients during absence.
IPD Consultation Charges:
04. a) In all IPD cases, income received through the consultation charges, the
Hospitals share will be 30 percent and the Consultants share will be 70 percent.
However, for panel patients, the Hospitals share will be 50 percent and the
Consultants share will also be 50 percent.
Operation Theater related Procedures:
04. b) The income generated through surgical procedures, the Hospital share will be 30
percent and the consultant share will be 70 percent. However, for panel patients,
the Hospitals share will be 50 percent and the Consultants share will also be 50
percent.
OPD/ER Consultation Charges:
04. c) On all Gross OPD/ER income received through fee by the Consultant, the
Hospitals share will be 30 percent and the Consultants share will be 70 percent.
However, for panel patients, the Hospitals share will be 50 percent and the
consultants share will also be 50 percent.
Clinical Procedures in the ER and OPD:
04. d) Income received through procedures in both OPD/ER the Hospitals share will
be 30 percent and the Consultants share will also be 70 percent. However, for
panel patients, the Hospitals share will be 50 percent and the Consultants share
will also be 50 percent.

05. On all Gross Income received through Consultant, The Consultants Share shall
be paid as per point 4 (a, b, c & d), after deduction of Government Taxes and
according to the Hospital Policy. Uniform accounting system shall be adopted and
accounts shall be settled as per Policy of the Hospital.
Payment Schedule:
06. a) Consultant share relating to private patients will be paid within one week
on weekly basis.
06. b) Consultant share relating to panel patients will be paid as and when payments
are received from the panel companies.

Other Policy Postulates:


07 When required and requested the Consultant will help the Hospital
administration in various activities and committee work for the better
management of patients.
08. a) The Consultant shall have no right to receive any sort of direct payments from
the patients for any reason and if the same found in any manner, the Hospital
shall be the right to take any appropriate action against the Consultant either
financially and/or legally or both.
08. b) The code of conduct, policy, procedures & standard operating procedures laid
by the Hospital are to be followed at all the time by the Consultant during the
currency of this MOU.
09. You have to open a Bank Account in Summit Bank F-10 Markaz Islamabad,
so that your share may be transferred in a timely manner.
10. This MOU is valid from the date of signing of the MOU and may be terminated
by either party by giving one month prior notice.
11. The Hospital shall have the right to cancel / terminate / amend this MOU at any
point of time during the currency of this MOU by giving a written notice to the
Consultant and the Consultant shall have no right to challenge against the
decision of the Hospital in any court of law.
12. The consultant is required to refer all the diagnostic services to the Maroof
International Hospital's laboratory and radiology departments. Any consultant
found in breach of aforementioned agreement would be held liable.
13. The consultant during the tenure of his practice at MIH, shall not practice private
clinic within 10 miles radius of MIH.
14. The consultant if shall leave the MIH, will not work within the 10 miles radius of
MIH for the two years period of time.
15. MIH reserves the right to cancel/revise this MOU.
16. This is disclosure that you have not been subjected to any disciplinary action at
any Medical Authority or any conviction in any criminal court of law.
