Transitions & Interpretation:

First, I need to get rid of the lean to the left side. I favor my left foot a lot, and it goes Transitions are prepared and predictable
beyond a regular sway. I tend to lean into the stand, and slouch into the ensemble. My hands X Contrasts in styles between sections
could be more forward and over the stand.
Confidence displayed because of proper score study and preparation
Taking into consideration all of these elements about conducting, please describe three
(3) goals for change that you plan to demonstrate in your next conducting round. Please
explain how you will execute and practice these elements.

Preparation:
X Score is marked with phrasing indications, dynamics, shaping, descriptive
adjectives, and tempi I looked and felt prepared
X Many markings, but not detailed enough to allow me to properly show
descriptive details about the score I felt prepared, but did not look prepared
Many markings, but my inability to make eye contact is because of insufficient
preparation I did not feel nor looked prepared
1) I plan to better prepare my aural image of the music in order to not have to look at the
music as much. This will come from singing and memorizing the sound of the music and
the voices from which are heard.
2) I plan to better control my pattern size to provide better contrast and not appear too
big on the podium. This will come from slow practice of keeping the pattern smaller.
3) I plan to better prepare my cues for entrances. This can be fixed by practicing being
ahead of the music. It now seems as though I am rushing to get to an entrance, rather
than ahead of the music.
