 More than 90 percent of laboratory testing is
performed locally within the network of JVHL
providers, including highly complex esoteric
testing. Our affiliated laboratories have full-time
pathologists to direct clinical services and assist
their physician partners.
Network laboratories provide local access
for STAT and routine testing 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. Patients have the opportunity to
more conveniently utilize additional hospital
services such as Pharmacy, Radiology,
Mammography, Respiratory and Physical Therapy.
Network laboratories provide personalized
customer service with consultative support from
affiliated Pathologists and laboratory Professionals.
JVHL provides comprehensive utilization and
test result data to health plans and participants
actively in disease management programs.
Through its network labs, JVHL gathers,
integrates and provides a broad range of test
data, including the relationship of the test data
to other care elements.
Through JVHL, network laboratories can
competitively provide test services to
community-based physicians that otherwise
might be provided by independent labs.
A primary goal is to provide
outpatient/outreach laboratory service
relationships with payers to enable our network
labs to provide services in support of local
health care and physician organizations.
JVHLs Health Plan Agreements cover
3.3 million members for outpatient and
physician office laboratory services. JVHL
Network Laboratories perform more than 30
million laboratory tests annually.
JVHL providers are operationally focused to
provide high-quality, convenient outreach
laboratory services. Our network laboratories
serve more than 12,000 physician clients
through more than 450 patient service centers
with a combined fleet of more than 100 courier
vehicles.
JVHL providers are uniquely positioned to
offer integrated clinical laboratory services
across inpatient, outpatient and physician
office care settings. Contracted health plan
outreach testing remains within the health s
ystem, giving physicians access to the complete
clinical data set to maximize utility in the
continuum of patient care.
