1.

Describe the setting, the grades you taught and explain the purpose of this
placement:
I was in Alhanan Kindergarten School. I taught KG2 students are between 4-5 years old.
I taught students several lessons such as: English, math and science. The purpose of
going to the practice days is learn the strategies and use the teachers style in teaching.

2. How did you demonstrate professional behavior as a trainee teacher in the school?
Explain how you maintained your professional status not only in your own
classroom but also across the school.
In my first day at TP I went in the morning to introduce myself and meet the school staff.
Then, I told the principal I am in semester five in the HCT and I have to complete 5
weeks in the school. After that, she prepares the attendance document and divides us to
out MSTs for this practice course. I showed to them my teacher style and my duties in the
school.

3. Explain how conducting and receiving one formal peer observations helped you to
develop professionally?
The peer observation was a feedback to improve my teaching skills. In each lesson I had
a MST form for observation, she points me on areas to develop and what to focus for next
lesson. Her notes was a helped me to work and focus on some areas.

4. Explain how you collaborated with other staff in activities that involve the
community during this placement.
The teachers were so kind and helpful with us during the practices days. Although, those
who were not observing us they helped me and ask if I faced any problems in the school.
For instance: the day that I had an observation from my MCT in the school, they asked
me if I missed some materials or if I need a help. Also, after I finished they were asking if
I did good or what you feel students were during the class time. In addition, the staff
those in the school administration were helpful while we asked them some papers or help.

5. What difficulties did you face in planning seven differentiated lesson plans to ensure
that they included a range of activity types for the whole class, groups, and
individuals
I faced some difficulty for preparing lesson activities. Because of the school curriculum
was not support to prepare or do differentiation in activities. But sometimes my MST let
me do for students to interact and involve during the class time. So, I faced this problem
while preparing activities to find works that could students adapt with it.

6. Explain how you assessed the learning objectives/outcomes you set the students.
In each lesson, I prepared a lesson plan and write my objective in it. The objectives were
different in each lesson for example: the English objectives depends on the letters, math
objectives depends on the numbers and science objectives depends on the animals.
7. Explain what you did to make sure that youre modeling / demonstration of the
tasks you set your students was clear and effective.
The most effective lessons I felt I did well was in English subject. I saw how students
responding to my instructions and follow the activities. The lesson that was effective is
letter Tt because of skills that will be used like: reading, writing and speaking. For
example: I did the teddy bear activity is for whole class during the circle time. So, the
students got the concept and done the activity as I hoped.

8. What strategies did you apply to maintain student engagement and how effective
were they in ensuring that tasks were completed effectively?
I used the reward system strategy with students to get their attention and interact with me
during the class time. In addition, I used the motivation language with students that let
students give more and work the activities.

9. Provide examples of how you developed student independence and responsibility in

your classes.
As I observed and taught from my MST that she let students to take foods and sit their
tables with anyone help them. Also, when they finish should clean up and take the thing
and plate back. For instance, one student comes to me and asks for helping him to tie his
shoes. But my MST gave me a point that I have to let students take responsibility and
depend on their self.

10. What strategies did you use to monitor student progress across a range of connected
teaching sessions including class, group, pair, and individual work
During the circle time I monitor it by students who involve and interact with me. And in
group work students who works and ask questions while doing or walking around them to
chick they are doing well. So, that is how I monitor students during the class time.

11. Provide examples of and describe the formative assessment instruments such as as
anecdotal notes, checklists, Traffic Lights, photos, children self-assessment,
Learning Journey, etc.. you used to evaluate student performance in a variety of
activity types
For math activities I used their worksheets as evaluation for their works. While in the
English, I had to take one group each time and sit in front of the table to evaluate and
make sure of their works. In addition, for science activities was as whole class in the
circle time by using materials such as: plastic animals.
12. Which teaching strategies did you find were particularly effective and explained
why with reference to educational theory and/or experience?
I used Piagets theory in my teaching days. According to Piaget experimenting and
manipulating physical objects is the main way children learn. As I observed the students
they were so active and interact to try the activities those includes hands on works. For
instance: when I gave students to use play dough for making letter or using creativity in
activities.

13. Identify and critically evaluate the influence of a range of stakeholders at your
school e.g. Ministry of Education, Principal, parents, etc.
The principal of the school was one of the supporting sides for us during the practice
days. She give us to attend to some special events that the school doing for students.
Like: preparing for Flag Day, cleanliness day and some meeting days. In addition, she
observed me one time while I am doing the story time and loved the activities I did and
how I build a relationship with students. Teacher Maryam Alzarooni was supporting me
and gives us some advises to become a good teacher in the future.

14. Explain how closely you were able to apply key principles from your own teaching
philosophy as a student teacher in this school?
My philosophy was to work on making students to explain the activities in easy way.
Because of students were not able to understand English or their language still not that
well. So, I tried to do my best like using instructions or explain with using hands to give
students the idea.

15. What would you say have been your particular strengths during this TP? Which
areas for development have you identified for next semester - justify this?
I enjoyed and learned a lot from my TP in this course. The MST gives me strategies to
use for future like try to build relationship with student while there I have to put some
borders to get the teacher character. I will focus for next semester to do different types of
activities that let students learn by doing.
