Strengths of the lesson:

Nice opening activity with the ball to choose a child
Good eye contact and lovely interaction with the children
Good guessing/eliciting game
Timely reminder to cross legs, arms and raise hands
Very nice drilling of p sound with penguin
Good, calm transitions
Nice management of the lesson with good use of MST and Arabic teacher
Very nice monitoring and evaluation
Children were having fun, engaged and learning
Good transition back to the carpet
Nice to get them to lie down and sleep at the end
Children were confident and relaxed

Areas for development:

Work on lining up the children the lesson only finishes when they are out the door
Carpet time was a bit long if you have activities you need to teach ensure they are
engaging and fun for ALL the children
Be careful of you questions the grammar should be correct
Think about free choice or rotating activities next time so I can see how you deal with
transitions?

Try and give children more than one activity to do. Aim to have them choose or at least move
independently and responsibly to the next activity.
