I am a software engineer with six years experience in research and development.


I love learning new technologies, solving problems and building things. I am a
skillful communicator and an experienced, enthusiastic teacher. I am an excellent
author, a diligent worker, have managed and worked on many teams and have
good organisational skills.

2008–2010 Research Fellow, Lero - The Irish Software Engineering Research Centre, Uni-
versity of Dublin, Trinity College.
I worked as project lead on the TAMES: Tools for Aspect Modelling of Embedded
Systems project which was funded by lero through its SFI CSET grant.
July – Oct 2000 Software Tester, Roadstone Dublin Ltd., Tallagh, Co.Dublin.
I Worked as part of a team of testers who debugged a custom written sales system
and trained staff.
1997–Present Web Developer / Consultant, Dublin, Ireland.
Finding work, agreeing on contracts, gathering requirements, working closely with
clients. Designing, programming and maintaining software and online content.

I have taught many courses including: Software Engineering to third year B.A. Com-
puter Science, M.Sc and Ph.D students; and Distributed Systems to final year B.A.

2007–Present Founder and Director, Youth Venture Project Ltd., Finglas, Dublin 11.
The Youth Venture Project (CHY 18712) assists in organising and supervising creative,
challenging expeditions for young people between the ages of 15 and 26 in the Dublin
area.

Infantry School, Military College, covering subjects such as leadership, military law,
battle tactics, navigation, administration, human resource management in October
2006.
Sport I am an avid mountain biker, member of Neptune Rowing Club and enter adventure
races and running events throughout the year.

Additional Information
Awarded a scholarship from Intel Ireland Ltd. in 1999 for the duration of my
undergraduate studies.
Awarded a Gold Medal for academic achievement upon graduation from Trinity
College Dublin in 2003.
Awarded by Principal, Confey Community College, for the best Junior Certificate
results (1996) and for Computer Science in senior cycle (1997).
