DSE73xx MKI to DSE73xx MKII

Conversion
1 DESCRIPTION

NOTE: This document is intended as a wiring conversion guide and assumes that the individual
following it understands that the DSE73xx MKII may require configuring to suit the requirements of the
application. For further information on module configuration refer to DSE Publications: 057-243 DSE7310 MKII
& DSE7320 MKII Configuration Suite Software Manual and 057-077 DSE72/7300 Series PC Configuration Suite.

This document describes how to convert the existing wiring connections for a DSE73xx MKI module to suit the
DSE73xx MKII module. The panel cutout is the same size, the only changes required are to the controller wiring and
module configuration.

Always refer to the source of the module configuration and system wiring diagram to confirm the below listed
connections are suitable for the application.

2 WIRING CHANGES
Terminal number assignment differs considerably between the DSE73xx MKI and DSE73xx MKII modules. Despite
this the physical locations and pin-out of the majority of terminals and connectors remain the same, with the addition
of a small number of inputs and outputs for the DSE73xx MKII. This is illustrated by the below images:

3 TERMINAL NUMBER ASSIGNMENT
The following tables detail the differences in terminal number assignment between the DSE73xx MKI and DSE73xx
MKII modules. Each table corresponds to a specific connector on the module. The connectors have been labelled A to
H. This is not a DSE standard for connector labelling, and has simply been included for ease of reference

NOTE: Not every terminal listed below is NOTE: The designation of CT common and
applicable to all DSE73xx modules. For further earth fault CT terminals may change depending on
information refer to the relevant DSE Operator system requirements. For further information refer
Manual. to DSE publication: 056-019 Earth Fault Protection.
